Love to a child
is the unwavering belief
that a mother's kiss
can heal all wounds
Small arms wrapped
around the neck
damp hair scented with
watermelon shampoo
whispers soft
"I love you, Mommy"

Wonderful poem that brings back sweet memories for me! Oh, how I long those days were here again! They grow up so fast!
For one thing I am so grateful to God: He helped me to show my love for them each day; and every time I see them now, they come for a hug and a kiss! I just cherish those moments!
Thanks for your sweet poem!
Hi Rhodi! thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
This poem is a walk down memory lane for me too - my teenage boys have grown so quickly, its hard to remember when they were that small :)
